AI detection works holistically, not section by section. AI detectors evaluate the entire document as a whole, and revisions anywhere can change the overall signal.
As a result: a section that was not flagged before may become flagged later, and a section that was flagged can also become unflagged after revisions.
Example: a paper that initially shows 0% AI may show a higher AI percentage after minor edits, because the detector re-evaluates the full document each time.
In short: AI flags are not fixed. Every recheck analyzes the paper from scratch, and changes anywhere can affect results everywhere.
